“For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”
We believe that people grow best when they are connected in relationship with one another. To meet the needs of busy adults, we have created a wide variety of opportunities to gather for growth, support and fun.
For a complete listing of all of our groups and activities, we encourage you to click the “Get Connected” button on our website home page or stop by our “Get Connected” table in the lobby after worship services. You can also email any of your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.

ONE to ONE CONVERSATIONS
Sometimes two is just the right number. When you feel sad, lonely or stuck, taking the time to talk with someone about your struggles and questions can provide the comfort and perspective that’s needed. We have two ministries that seek to care for people and help them grow through safe, confidential, one-on-one conversations.
- Faith Partners specializes in helping people get unstuck so that they can move forward in their life and faith. They are Christian coaches who will listen and ask questions to help you think through your situation and find your next steps.
- Stephen’s Ministry specializes in providing emotional and spiritual care to those who are hurting or facing a crisis. They are Christian friends who will listen, pray, support and encourage you during your time of need.
Growing a healthy family can be challenging. We want to share the ups and downs that life brings and help one another build satisfying marriages and raise spiritually strong, happy children. Join us for fun, family friendly events such as our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Fall Festival. Get involved in a marriage or parenting study, check out a date night event or call the office if your family is in crisis. We have resources available to assist you.

WHAT IS YOUR NEXT STEP?
Now that you have checked us out, what is your next step?
Get Started on the Journey
Taking that first step into faith is the most exciting, life changing decision you will ever make. But, although each person has to make that decision on their own, they don’t have to do it alone! The Christian life is meant to be lived in community from the very start. If you would like help getting a strong start on your journey, we have resources and people who would love to walk with you. Just stop off at our “YES!” table at the back of the worship center after one of the weekend services or call the church office and ask for a faith partner and someone will get back with you.
Join the Edgewater Community
Edgewater is more than a church. It is a place to call home! We invite you to settle in and make it yours. To aid in that process, we offer four weeks of membership classes that will help you get to know our community better.
- Pizza with the Pastor
Each series kicks off with a relaxed hour of food and conversation with Pastor Dan. During this time, he’ll give you a little Edgewater history, walk you through our mission, vision and values, and answer any questions you may have about himself, Edgewater or the United Methodist Church. “Pizza with the Pastor” will be offered on the first Sunday of each month at 12:30 pm.
- Explore Edgewater
After meeting with Pastor Dan, we invite you to continue to “Explore Edgewater” for three weeks to discover how you can personally get plugged into our mission of helping people meet, know and serve Jesus Christ. At the end of this series, you can participate in a celebration of membership ceremony at the worship service of your choice.
We look forward to getting to know you better and helping you get to know us! Contact the church office today for information on upcoming classes. Or email Lynn Ball at Lynn@edgewaterchurch.com
We have two ways that you might be baptized. The first is by immersion in the large baptismal tub. We do this at a special Baptism celebration service a few times per year. Ask about our next Baptism class and celebration service at the “Get Connected” table in the lobby or call the office.
The other method is to sprinkle water on the head. This method can be selected for the special Baptism service as an alternative to immersion. Or you can have this done at any regular worship service throughout the year. Just call the office and make an appointment to talk with the pastor regarding your decision.
Ask for a Faith Partner
If you aren’t sure of your next step, we can help! If you would like a partner who can work with you one on one to help you move forward, we would love to talk to you. Just call the church office or talk to a host at the get connected table in the lobby and they will connect you with someone who can help you figure out the next step that is right for YOU.
