Our Mission: Provide the congregation with the opportunities to be in mission and to support missions globally, nationally and locally.

All potential missions requesting support/funding will fill out an application form for consideration. To add a mission requires that a personal testimony to the mission’s integrity and purpose is required by some one from EUMC.
The missions that EUMC supports/funds will be reviewed annually.

Each November, a review of the previous year’s donations to each mission will be made and adjustments made for the next year as the committee determines is needed.

All donations and money given to missions supported by EUMC will be monitored by the EUMC treasurer. The treasurer will provide reports as requested by the Missions Committee chairperson(s). Chairperson will request treasurer to make payments from the Missions Fund as necessary.

Goals 2009-2010:

• Establish mission budget for global, national, and local missions
• Send Mission Team to sister churches in Cuba as opportunity is available.
• Sponsor 1 missionary couple living in a third world country
  • David and Sue Whitlock - Kenya
• Partner with ICM to build a church in India
• Sponsor a missions conference
• Provide the congregation with information on missions in various forms:
  • EUMC Website
  • Preservice information on the screen
  • Bulletin Board in Fellowship Hall (when completed)
  • Weekly church bulletin
  • Sunday school, small groups, UMW, Men’s group etc.
  • Workshops/conferences

Mission trip guidelines:

Objectives will be to grow team member’s relationship with God, grow team members’ relationship with one another, share God’s love with others through team members’ actions and words as they serve those in need.

Funding for trips will be determined by the Missions Committee.

Fundraising Ideas: at the present time, funds for missions will continue to be provided through the monthly collection of money in banks provided to the congregation for that purpose.
