  • What is the one thing I want my audience to know and what do I want them to do about it? God is the greatest treasure; seek Him this Christmas rather than all the temporary things.

  2. What will you start doing, stop doing, or do differently because of the incarnation of Jesus?

  • Theme/Main Point: Jesus was either a lunatic, liar, or the Lord God Himself.
  • What is the one thing I want my audience to know and what do I want them to do about it? While it is not up to us to decide who He is, it is up to us to decide what we will do with Him.
  • Primary Scripture: "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" --Matthew 6:13-20 (13b)

  1. Who do people say Jesus was in the Bible? (See Matthew 16:14.) Today who do they say Jesus is?
  2. In "Mere Christianity" C.S. Lewis boils down who Jesus is to just three possibilities: lunatic, liar, or Lord. What is your reaction to this assessment?
  3. Looking ahead to next week, what are some differences between a mental patient claiming to be God and Jesus making the same assertion about Himself?
